David is the executive director of career development and alumni relations at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management—University of California, Santa Barbara. He started the Career Development Program more than 25 years ago. Under his leadership and with the help of a talented team, the program has become one of the leading university placement programs in environmental science and management.

Through his recruitment experience at a Fortune 50 company, David developed a highly successful job search process that has helped thousands of job seekers land rewarding jobs quickly in both weak and strong job markets. Job seekers have used David’s process and tactics to secure rewarding positions in more than 65 different industries, on seven continents, and in hundreds of fields and companies.

David holds a BA in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, an MBA from California State University, Long Beach, and an MS in Counseling and Guidance from California Lutheran University. He has more than 30 years of experience in human resources and career development, including work as a career director, employment supervisor, corporate trainer, career coach, college recruiter, organizational development consultant, at-promise student mentor, and board member. David lives in Southern California with his wife, two children, and trusty sidekick dog, Milo.
